Hi there! My name is Mary Beth. I am 39 years old, married to my high school sweetheart, the mother of two wonderful children, mom to two awesome dogs, and living in a fly-over state. I grew up in Southeastern Michigan and moved to Central Indiana almost 17 years ago. In a nutshell, my life is pretty typically Midwestern.
My hubby calls me a Renaissance Woman. I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom. I am blessed enough that I can do that. I have a pretty weird set of interests. I usually get some funny looks when I mention them. I love to cook/bake. I enjoy reading, playing piano, gardening, crochet, needlepoint, sewing, music, photography, going to the gun range, Tae Kwon Do, and Commando Krav Maga. For those who don't know, Krav Maga is Israeli combat fighting. It's a blast, and I highly recommend it especially for women.
I decided to start a blog because I want to show people the beauty that is a Fly-Over State. There is more to do here than people expect. It is more beautiful than people can conceive. I hope to show people just what they are missing when they don't stop for a visit. I just want to share my love of life in the Midwest.
